I’ve been out and about recently exploring this beautiful area.  And when I say beautiful, I mean it.  It started when I finally got back on the WeightWatcher’s wagon (nearly 14 lbs. down, thank you!) and realized that I was severely lacking in the exercise department.  A couple of weekends ago, my fun travel buddy Ashely visited and we went on an adventure in Mashmoquet Brook State Park just up the road from my cute little home.

On a recent hike to find the local landmarks of Wolf Den, Indian Chair, and Table Rock, I snapped this shot of green spring peeking through a rock facade of icicles.

As a side note, I’m learning quickly that (1) Layers are good when heading out and about and (2) 30 degrees gets progressively colder the longer you are outside.  Duly noted.
