I often listen to music during my morning shower. Sometimes its Top 40, sometimes it’s Dolly Parton or Crystal Gale, sometimes it’s seasonal.  If it’s a rainy day or Monday, it’s often The Carpenters.   Sometimes it’s hard to get going in the morning. You know the mornings–when the heated blanket is far more tempting than sermon preparation. When Golden Girls re-runs are more appealing than, at that particular moment, work, this is what I listen to.

Popularly known as the Organ Symphony, Saint-Saën completed his Symphony No. 3 in C Minor in 1886. It’s final (and most well-known) movement is rousing to say the least. It starts loud, pulls back then builds to a huge end. Be sure to turn it up and let it inspire you to get going!
